The Keystone Inn opened in 1923. It was the main centerpiece in what would become Keystone Heights and helped draw both tourists and land developers. The following year, the "Blue Lantern" tea room and pavilion opened across the street on Lake Geneva. It became a popular dance hall right away and also offered moonlit rides on a boat by the same name. The Keystone Inn burned in 1954, causing severe damage to the 3rd floor.
